Lincoln & District Runners - Club Website
Welcome to the home of "Lincoln & District Runners" PDF Print E-mail

The Lincoln & District Runners (LDR) website is here to help you learn more about the club and about running in our area. If you have any questions or comments, please use the "Contact Us" form to send us an email. For information on joining LDR or renewing your membership please click here

We want to encourage runners and walkers of all abilities to join us and every club night you can join a group who will be doing a run to suit your ability – long run, short run, fast run, slow run – so don’t worry if you’re not the next Asafa Powell, Tyson Gay or Paula Radcliffe.

We aim to make your running experience ‘fun’ and improve your fitness to whatever level you aspire to. As a social running club we also have a forum which you can explorer here. Please feel free to join and post your questions and comments about running & walking.

Join Lincoln & District runners today and receive these great benefits:

  • Train together to stay motivated and learn more about running
  • Volunteer together and give back to the sport of running
  • Socialise together at special club events and keep running fun
  • Keep up to date with running news including a comprehensive calendar of upcoming events
  • Participate in fun runs, club socials, track meets and much more
  • Work out with training partners at all levels of ability
  • Don't let the dark nights put you off doing a great cardio vascular exercise by going out running

Running this Autumn & Winter

With the nights drawing in I'm sure you don't feel in the mood for going out for a run on your own. Why not come along to the club and run with fellow like minded runners. No longer does it have to be the exercise of the weekend. Lincoln and District runners meet twice a week on a Tuesday and Thursday evening so come along... you won't be disappointed.

Club social events

  • Ten pin bowling followed by a meal
  • Heading to the lake district and the peak district to compete in fell and trail races
  • County cross country championship
  • Supporting and entering local races
  • Group outings to sporting events
  • Annual club championship

The Lincoln & District Running Club is a non-profit organisation and running club. The club was established in 1991 when it was known as the Lincoln & District Road Running Club. Our name changed to the Lincoln & District Runners in 2002 to better reflect the changing demographics of our membership as we no longer only focus on running and have a growing number of walkers and fell/trail runners. The club currently consists of about 70 members of all ages and abilities.

Our club feels that it's important that "No one gets left behind" when out running so come join us and start enjoying running.

Club Night

Club Night is every Tuesday evening at the North Kesteven Sports Centre (Sat Nav: LN6 9AX)

  • Starts promptly at 7.30pm
  • Meet in the sports centre foyer - we usually stand out being all dressed in running gear or fluorescent jackets (autumn & winter time)
  • Generally 25 - 30 participants, all paces, 3 - 7 miles. New participants are always most welcome
  • Parking is available at the sports centre

Walking Group

We also have a walking group who meet at all the locations displayed on the Training Schedule at 6.20pm ready to start walking at 6.30pm. The walks are usually around the hour mark so you will be back in time to joining the running group if you so wish.
