When at the Heckington show, Pippa, Emma and me came across a stall promoting something called a treasure trail. Basically, it is like a treasure hunt/Cluedo game combined and is a murder mystery walking trail
We have chosen one that takes place around the cathedral quarter in Lincoln and would involve a walk following clues and eliminating suspects and weapons as you go round.
If you are interested, we thought it would be a good idea to do it on Saturday 30th October, which is as close to Halloween as we can get for a weekend day. We think that the treasure trail needs to be done in daylight, so would suggest starting mid afternoon with a view to going for a pub meal afterwards or just a beer if you want to or just actually doing the walk. As there is a cross country event the next day, by starting mid afternoon we can still have a social event without too late a night (unless of course you aren't doing cross country (or even if you are) and want to make a night of it, there will be the option to do so. Those that just want to do the walk can go home to bed with their teddy and cocoa once the walk has finished.
There is no financial outlay involved other than what you do or don't want to spend on the meal/beer etc afterwards. We also thought it would be a bit of fun to make the event an OPTIONAL halloween related fancy dress. For some people, we know who you are, we know that isn't an option but an absolute necessity to be able have the chance to delve into your dressing up boxes!

Social Events
The club runs a number of social events each year - see some of the photos below and in the photos section. Recent events have ranged from nights out, bowling, a trip to a brewery and going on Lincoln's ghost walk. In addition the club has an annual awards event - for 2011 it is planned to have a larger scale event in January to celebrate the club's 20th anniversary.
In the future, it is hoped to arrange a day at Market Rasen races followed by a curry/drink. Anyone with an idea for an event should see either Ros or Pippa on a club night, or email
