CHAIRMANS CUP - Jane and Ian Coney
Criteria:The member who embraces the ethos of the club and what it stands for, helps out at club events etc. this is open to every member full, concession or associate alike. This year it goes to the members who have given so much time and effort in the successful running of the club and its events. It gives me great pleasure in giving it this year to Jane and Ian Coney
Last year I made a special award to 2 members who I thought had done really well during the year.funnily enough a similar situation has arisen once again. The membe concerned has been with the club for some considerable time although many of the newer members will not Know the member personally however over the years the member has consistently helped out, attended most of our events, socials however over the last few years has suffered some serious setbacks in the things they want to do but it was with great delight I saw the member competing in the santa run in a commendable time of 27 minutes beating her other half by 5 minutes and I`ve heardon the grapevine that the said person has been to pete`s for a new pair of shoes so will you all put your hands together for someone with the persistence and optimism that Ihave never come across before: Little Gill
