The Lincolnshire League Cross Country consists of four matches held at locations throughout the county. A tough league with many outstanding clubs and runners taking part. The final positions seemed to take an age to arrive from the organisers however we should be very proud of our Ladies team who came 2nd in the overall standings and huge congratulations to Leanne Warnes 2nd Senior Lady.
The County Championship was held at Biscathorpe near Louth on 08th Jan 2017. Prizes all round for LDR with 2nd for the Senior Ladies and 2nd for the Vet Ladies. The Senior Men did well to gain a 3rd Place. Well done to all who ran but special congratulations go to Leanne Warnes, Sarah Kaminski, Erica Coney, Anna Mongan, Kathryn Lambert, Lois Tack, Karou Shimada, Dave Hunter & Tom Roche.

Happy New Year!
I am writing to thank you so much for partnering with the Christmas Sack project this year! Your donations were SO very much appreciated and helped towards making this project a real success.
This year's project was our largest by far! The support was such that we were able to work with over 30 local children's centres, schools, family centres, and other organisations who referred families and Individuals they work with who were struggling to provide for themselves and their children over Christmas. Altogether, we were able to help 226 families by giving each a Christmas sack full of gifts and a food hamper full of cupboard essentials and Christmas treats!
On Christmas Eve, we had this email from a school family support worker:
"/ dropped the Christmas sack off to a young mum with small children. Her daughter aged 4 took one out and put it under her mini table top tree, as I was leaving, she shouted me. I had left all the other children's presents, No I told her they are all yours, she could not believe it, all for us, she kept saying, really?
Lovely moment this Mum has very little and your kindness has just bumped her and her children's Christmas up to special, from very little. We have received nothing but overwhelming gratitude for the hampers and presents"
The project makes the point that, no matter what situation you find yourself in, the community care about you.
Please find enclosed a project leaflet and a thank you poster for you to display if you wish. We will contact you later this year to give you the opportunity to be involved in the Christmas Sack 2016 project.
Thank you again on behalf the families you helped. God Bless
